The Seroflo Inhaler combines Fluticasone and Salmeterol. This inhaler falls within the category of synthetic corticosteroids and selective, long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonists. Due to the presence of two active components, Seroflo Inhaler has various effects on asthma. As an anti-inflammatory agent, it provides relief for a minimum of 12 hours. It is utilized for treating asthma, particularly in patients who have tried other combination medications or inhalers without seeing improvement. Additionally, Seroflo Inhaler is effective for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), especially in moderate to severe cases.

 

Fluticasone in this medication is employed to prevent inflammation, a primary factor in asthma, while Salmeterol aids in relaxing the airway muscles in the lungs, broadening the air passages. Both ingredients are distributed in the lung's bronchioles, working synergistically to enhance liver function and alleviate asthma symptoms.

 

Seroflo Inhaler is typically administered twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. The prescribed dosage depends on the severity of the condition and the patient’s age. Before use, shake the inhaler and remove the mouthpiece cover. Avoid exhaling into the device. Position the mouthpiece between your lips and inhale through your mouth. It's crucial to hold your breath for several moments after inhalation. Afterward, remove the mouthpiece from your mouth and re-cover it. Gently exhale afterward.

 

Do not take an additional puff of Seroflo Inhaler if you do not taste the medication. Rinse your mouth with water afterward. Always adhere to these steps each time you use the inhaler. Inform your physician if you have a history of tuberculosis, diabetes, lung infections, or heart-related issues. Seroflo should only be used for the duration prescribed. If a dose is missed, it may be taken upon remembering unless it is close to the scheduled next dose, in which case it should be skipped.

 

Seroflo Inhaler can cause side effects, including sore throat, throat irritation, headaches, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, muscle cramps, tremors, and bruising, among others.

 

The side effects associated with Seroflo Inhaler are specific to its individual ingredients rather than the combination of these ingredients and are generally mild. However, if the patient experiences severe or unusual symptoms, emergency medical help should be sought immediately.
